Parhelion has collaborated with members of the Emerson String Quartet and Eighth Blackbird, and received a New Music USA grant for their project Dark Matter: A Tribute to Vera Rubin.
She also performs with Nu Deco Ensemble, a genre-bending orchestra known for collaborations with artists such as Angélique Kidjo, Anthony Hamilton, Allen Stone, and X Ambassadors. She also performs with the American Composers Orchestra and DCINY.
Ashleé made her solo debut at sixteen with the North Carolina Symphony as winner of the North Carolina Soloist Competition and was the first clarinetist to receive NPR’s Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award. She has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and Harpa, with recordings on Bandcamp, Centaur, and Partisan Record Labels.
Ashleé holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from The Graduate Center, CUNY, where she studied with Charles Neidich.
